Abstract submission

The deadline for abstract submission was 1 January 2016, submissions received after this deadline will not be considered.

The Scientific Committee will determine whether the abstract will be accepted as an oral presentation or a poster. Authors will be notified by e-mail, whether their abstract has been accepted or rejected, and, in case of acceptance about the form of presentation (oral or poster).

Submission of an abstract acknowledges your consent for the abstract to be published in the official conference programme. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors consent to the submission and are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.

Instructions for the preparation of abstracts

Please read carefully the instructions below and prepare your abstract in accordance to required specifications. Abstracts which do not comply with the guidelines listed below will be returned directly to the authors for correction before they can enter the reviewing process.

  1. The abstract must be written in English. The abstract should be brief and concise.
  2. The abstract should not exceed an A4 page and will not contain figures and tables. Longer abstracts will be rejected.
  3. Please use Arial as font and single line spacing for the entire abstract.
  4. The title should be short and informative, with a maximum length of two lines. It should be written in bold letters, with a font size of 12 pt.
  5. The name(s) of the author(s) should be written in italic letters, with a font size of 12 pt.; Do not leave any blank lines between the author(s) and the name(s) of the institution(s).
  6. Type the name(s) of the institution(s), city and country, in italic letters with a font size of 10 pt.
  7. Leave a blank line with font size of 12 pt. between the address(es) and the body text.
  8. The body of the text should also be written with a font size of 12 pt. The body of your abstract should have minimum 200 characters.
  9. Use the following abstract template.

Posters instructions

  • The dimensions of the poster board are PORTRAIT style 1.2m x 1.2m. It is suggested that your poster will be 90 cm wide by 120 cm tall.
  • All poster boards will be pre-numbered. Please be certain to mount your poster on the correct board.
  • Please ensure that you print your hardcopy poster before coming and bring it to the conference with you. No poster printing service will be available at or near to the conference venue.

Funding opportunities

Travel support will be possible for participants with accepted abstracts. The Scientific Committee will decide, according to the scores of the abstracts, which abstract can receive a travel support. Since funding opportunities are limited, the applicants are urged to seek supplemental funding.
